Feet of fire

At the feet of Jesus, His dirty hem is touched
The shame too much to bear
Who would dare to reach for power?
Her healing drove her there

At the feet of Jesus, to listen and learn
The house awash with busyness
A sister stern - an open heart
Waiting on her Lord, a lesson for us all

At the feet of Jesus, oil His hair embalms
What a waste in human terms
The fragrance of forgiveness, No price
Her future secure

At the feet of Jesus, she’s looking up
Broken, bloodied, nailed
Her son
Tear stained face
a mothers love crucified

He walks with feet bronzed by fire, to heal, restore, forgive; love returned to womankind

Forever at His feet to live
