My attention was caught by these roots in a car park next to a busy railway station. Regardless of being trapped, concreted and fenced in - the tree found a way of growing, expanding and finding the way up. As the summer rains came it came into leaf.
Sometimes the place of restriction and hardship in life - as uncomfortable as it may seem - yields growth and personal flourishing when we allow the gentle rain of Holy Spirit to soak our roots.
